Salome meshes only the outer surfaces of a 3D solid

Posted by s1291 at April 13. 2018

Hello everyone,

I used salome since a few months ago but I was dealing only with 2D meshes. Now I created a cuboid (has an inlet face, outlet face, and four walls obviously) which I want to mesh. The mesh apears good but when I hide say the inlet face the interior of the cuboid appears empty. I hope really you understood what I mean because I try hard to express but sorry I have a bad english.

As a consequence when I try to convert the mesh to OpenFOAM format it throws errors because it doesn't find internal cells!

Can you please tell me what wrong?

Thank you

Hi

Can you share your data, either a python script or hdf of the study?

Hello dear Michael,

I attached the Python script of the study.

P.S: that study was created on Salome 8.3 on Windows 10.

Hi

You just forgot to assign a 3D meshing algorithm. I send your a modified script.
