meshing never finishes

Posted by jouke hijlkema at Wednesday 17:08

Hello all,

This is doing my head in. I try to mesh a part of a hybrid rocket motor but for this given configuration the meshing process stops at 41% an I have to kill the process. I tried to reproduce this on a simpler case but that did not work so I added the complete study.

It concerns Mesh_1.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 Jouke

PS. as a second there seems to be a problem with the group names when exporting to CGNS. Sometimes it works sometimes the names are changed to group #

PS2. The file is to big so I've put it here

PS3. Hitting the cancel button while the meshing process runs does nothing either ...

Hello Jouke

I see there is a bug in viscous layers construction. I'll care of it. But there are other problems. The meshing fails even without Viscous Layers hypothesis.

Unfortunately I don't see any workaround for this issue so far.

Best regards

Edward
