Using runSession in Salome 8

Posted by Lucio Gomez at April 29. 2017

Hello,

In Salome 7, when I wanted to open the ParaVIS module independently I ran the following command:

./runSession paraview

As seen in Salome 8, this method no longer exists or is used in another way. Does anyone know, if possible, to open the ParaVIS module in Salome 8 independently?

Thank you in advance. Sorry for my bad English.

Regards

Hi Lucio,

The 'runSalome' and 'runSession' commands have been replaced by the 'salome' command.

The equivalent of './runSession' is: './salome shell', which runs a shell in the Salome environment. You can then type './paraview'.

Type ./salome -h for help.

Best regards,

Gilles
