mesh inconsistency

Posted by Mauricio at March 08. 2018

I imported an IGES file into salome and I got some trouble meshing it.

Mesh appears to be inconsistent, i.e., the cells are not coincidente, as one can see in the attached file. I've tried to use a lot of tools in salome (Limit Tolerance, Sewing, Glue Faces) but all I have gotten seems to be independent meshes.

I wander how can I join the differentes parts of the model to get a consistent mesh?

Hi

Try the following steps, one after another:

1) Increase tolerance using Limit Tolerance. A new tolerance must be large enough to cover gaps between surfaces that should be joined, but less than a feature size.

2) Apply Partition to the geometry with increased tolerance.
