Hi

I want to create the cross section of a Z beam. For this I drew the sketch of the middle line, and now I want to add some thickness to it to obtain the face. I managed to do this by following this steps:

1. Extruding the wire in the direction perpendicular to its plane and adding a thicknes of half the dessired one

2. Extruding again in the same direction but with "Thicken towards the inside" to get the other half

3. Fuse the two extrusions

4. Explode and extract the desired face

I find this procedure not very clean and I wonder if there is a simple way of doing this. If the only way is scripting thats not a problem.

I tried with the pipe construction tool, but it didn't work

Thanks!

Hi

In my opinion the way you use is the simplest one.
