bullet Binaries for officially supported Linux platforms

These SALOME packages include:

  • All the technical requirements (pre-requisite products) - sources and binaries;
  • SALOME version 7.7.1: sources, binaries and user documentation;
  • Release Notes;
  • README file describing how to run and/or build SALOME from these packages.

To install SALOME, just download and unpack an archive most appropriate to your Linux platform.

Note that SALOME binaries from above listed archives can also work on other Linux distributions (like RHEL), though this is not guaranteed. You can try universal Linux binaries (see below) on platforms which are not directly supported.

bullet Universal binaries for Linux

Note: 32-bits platforms are not supported.

Universal binary package is a self-extracting archive. Just download the file and execute it to install SALOME. The installer supports options, run it with "-h" to see full list of available options.

This package includes Debian Squeeze layer, all the pre-requisites and SALOME 7.7.1 binaries. It is known to work on Linux distributions like Mandriva, Debian, Ubuntu, SUSE, RHEL, etc ...

bullet Packages for Windows

Below listed packages provide minimal content required to launch SALOME. Use these packages if you don't need to compile SALOME or third-party code, but only want to launch SALOME application. The archives include binaries of the pre-requisites and SALOME modules built in RELEASE mode; development files are not included.

Below listed packages provide "development environment" of SALOME. They include binaries (built in RELEASE or DEBUG mode) of the pre-requisites and SALOME modules plus all development files (headers, IDL files, adm files etc) required for the compilation of the SALOME-dependent solutions like custom modules or applications.

Below listed packages include pre-requisites built in RELEASE and DEBUG mode, SALOME modules sources and build procedure (environment files + build scripts). They can be used to build SALOME from sources.

Note: SALOME binaries are not included into these packages.

All packages for Windows are accompanied with the README files describing how to use and/or build SALOME on Windows.

Note: SALOME is built with Microsoft Visual Studio 2010.
